Story I heard once
Let me tell a tearful addiction story
I heard while riding in the Baker’s lorry
Of a young lad who had a dream
A dream his life would be peaches and cream
He had a dream of becoming a butcher
An idea he had gotten from his teacher
He dreamed of a beautiful family
A dream he cherished daily
He got dragged into drugs and beer
And he paid a price so dear
One day when he was doped and drunk
The police found him dead in his car trunk
He had drugged himself to death
His blood was filled with Meth
He never lived to fulfill his dream
Drugs and alcohol robbed him of his dream

I reach for it each morning
Light a fire to its brown end
It kick starts all the rest of them
My pauses, treats and friends

The instant head rush; totally unexpected every time.
I feel my breathing rate increase, faster and faster.
My heart dances
by Autumn Glatz
I can hear my heart thumping and my brain pounding
I can see blood in my veins and tears in my eyes
I’m here wondering
You’ll come back to me
You know you will
We all have it.
Suffer from it.
You will experience it soon.
The need that
Sugar, You Temptress
Sugar, you temptress, you hide everywhere.
In many a form, you never play fair.
You sneak in my life
