Saving money while planning the wedding of your dreams is possible. The first step in doing this is setting a wedding date that will cost you less and the second is taking advantage of all the honeymoon savings options. You can have all the beauty and glamour you desire without the big price tag.
A wedding date that is set from January through the beginning of April will cost you less. This is the off season for many reception locations. The reception location is typically the most expensive budget item for a wedding. During January, February, March and April businesses are slow and they are happy to book you and will have a lower cost. More dates are available in the off season also, giving you flexibility in selecting the date. Flexibility is a huge plus and a welcome relief to the stress of planning a wedding. If there is a specific reception site you must have, then chances are you will get it in the off season. It is easier to get what you want when you are not competing with many other brides. If you choose a date in the busy season you will be scheduling your wedding around others who got there first.
After picking a month from January through April, then select the day of the week. Another money saver is selecting a Friday instead of a Saturday. Friday evening weddings are becoming more popular for two reasons. The first reason is the bride saves a lot of money on booking the location. The price of a Friday wedding is significantly lower than a Saturday. If you book in the off season, and on top of that on a Friday, you will save up to half off on your wedding. That is an incredible savings and without having to sacrifice the beauty and elegance of your ideal wedding. The second reason Friday weddings are more popular, is that it gives people a long and fun weekend. A Friday evening wedding allows guests to enjoy the event on Friday, recover on Saturday and still have Sunday to do as they please or travel home. Please also consider that a Friday wedding means the wedding rehearsal and dinner will be held on Thursday. Family and the bridal party would need to be aware of this early to avoid work conflicts.
With such an easy way to save, why not make your wedding day exactly how you dreamed it to be and at half the cost by setting a wedding date that will cost you less.
