You have started a website, and you believe that you are creating quality content that people would be interested in. However, there is one problem.... nobody is coming to your website! Why not? Chances are you are not doing a very good job of advertising it, so it is not being noticed. With so much information and so many different websites out there, it is vital that you are able to advertise your site to make sure that people know about it and will want to come to it.

But how can you do that? There are many different platforms to try help to get your website noticed. A few things that you could try:

- Finding other blogs within your niche or area of content, and getting friendly with them and getting them to know you and your website. This might mean linking to their site when they post something interesting, leaving comments on their blog, emailing the author, and just participating in their site. This might make them more likely to post a link to your website, which is great advertising. If a site gets recommended by someone that people trust, it will have a much higher chance of succeeding. This will drive people to the site directly as well as indirectly, through better placement in search engines.

- Another way to try to advertise for your website is to post on forums in your content area. If you provide a link to your website in your signature (or in posts), it can help drive people to the site by clicking on the link. Also, once again this can help with SEO for search engines, as people can find your site more easily because it is higher up in search rankings.

- You can also try to participate in social bookmarking sites, which can be visited by a lot of people. If your website can get a high spot or placement on a popular social bookmarking site, it can get a lot of hits and advertising. This can also be true for things like Twitter and facebook, which are used by more and more people these days. You have to go to where the people are in order to advertise your website, and places like this are usually seen by a lot of people.

If you are not getting many people to come to your website, don't get discouraged, and do not give up hope! With a little bit of good advertising and a little bit of good luck, you can get visitors to come to your website! However, whether they keep coming back for more or not depends on if you are able to produce quality content that people want to see and read. If you do, you will have a successful website and get it to be consistently noticed!
