                                               Always remember the rules your parents and teachers gave you: Never give in to peer pressure

Once upon a time, Mr. Hare and Ntelecha became best friends. They loved each other that they were always seen together. They played together on the hills, jumping from rock to rock and hiding from each other. They visited friends together, shared their meals together and shared all their joys and tears. Everyone in the tiny village of Matopos knew them as best friends. One day, however, Ntelecha simply vanished from the village and no one seemed to know what had happened to him.

The day Ntelecha disappeared had been another usual day for him and his best friend Mr. Hare. They had raced up and down the hill to see who between them could run faster than the other; they had played hide and seek on the dangerously hanging rocks on the hillside; and they had enjoyed some delicious figs on the big fig tree along the river running from one of the hills. Eventually, Mr. Hare had suggested that they go down to the dam where they could play in the water and cool themselves as it was getting very hot.

At the dam, they played in the water and chatted with other animals that also came to the dam. Soon, however, they were all by themselves. It was now midday and the other animals were all lying down under trees in the bush.  Mr. Hare and Ntelecha also lay down by the dam under a shade. Mr. Hare lay face up, with his hands on the back of his head, one leg knees up and the other leg on top of the other. Mr. Hare’s eyes were closed and he seemed to be in deep thought. Ntelecha was lying not very far from his friend, thinking how lucky he was to have a friend like Mr. Hare.

“Say, Ntelecha, let us play a game,” said Mr. Hare.

“What kind of a game are you thinking about Mr. Hare? “asked Ntelecha.

“We can cook each other,” said Mr. Hare opening his eyes and turning to his friend Ntelecha.

‘Cooking each other! Wow!” giggled Ntelecha.

“That can be dangerous. Haven’t we played enough today? I am tired and it is too hot to be cooking anyway” said Ntelecha.

“I thought you were my best friend, but I see you do not want to play with
