Poetry for Normal People
Are you tired, of rambling poems?
Do you hunger for something with bite?
My poems have something for everyone.
Not the often pretentious hype.
My poems come straight from my head.
I don't do unfathomable metaphors.
I write down the words, with a rhyme if I can,
Thoughts that might be just like yours.
So just take your time, and read what you like,
Skip those that bore you to tears.
I'd rather my poetry was read for fun,
Maybe with a couple of cold beers.
