Disneyland in Anaheim, California is a magical place to be. Sometimes the heat can become very unbearable making the magical place a place to melt. There are many ways to duck out of the heat and make the day enjoyable.

If your room is near the park, go back and relax in the room for a while or take a dip in the pool during the hottest part of the day.

Most of the rides at Disneyland are cool inside. It’s waiting for the rides that can bet unbearably hot.  It is very helpful to take a little fan that you can turn on when it gets really hot while you are standing in line.  Little battery operated fans can be purchased at many discount stores. Or Disneyland has a fan that is attached to a water bottle on sale at the park.

Once you are on the ride of course it is cool during the ride. Pirates of the Caribbean is a long ride with a relatively short wait. Riding in the front row of Pirates of the Caribbean will get you rather wet which cools a person off for a while.

Riding rides such as Splash Mountain where you usually get soaked is a way to stay cool for a while. The wait for Splash Mountain is inside for quite a while so you stay cool while waiting.

The hot part of the day is a great time to go eat lunch or a snack. All of the restaurants are cool inside. Be sure to go to one that has inside seating so that you are not out in the heat. Or reserve a seat in one of the sit down restaurants. The Golden Horseshoe is a great place to duck out of the heat too. The food is great and Billy Hill and the Hillbilly’s put on a great show.

The Tiki Room has a comfortable queue that is shaded where you can get a delicious Dole Whip. The show is fairly long so you are out of the heat for quite a while. They even let you take your Dole Whip inside.

The Disney Railroad is a nice way to cool off for a while. It is not air conditioned but it is covered so it stays pretty cool. The ride is very long and sometimes a person can even go around twice.

There are many things to do at Disneyland when the weather is too hot. There are a lot of rides to go on and restaurants to sit in to duck out of the heat during the hot part of the day. Even if it is hot, Disneyland is a magical place!
