Behind the wall ,Wait till they pass ,step on the crate Escape
Over the fence passed the gun towers, run toward the woods Escape
Through the woods just as planned, can you hear the sirens
The lights are scanning will they find him bring him back inside
Punished, beaten, possible death ,fear, heart beating loudly
He hears the dogs , the flashlight are coming what now
Only thoughts are to escape
Run, run faster ,even faster now can he make it
Freedom lies two miles from here at the unmanned border
The soldiers are on his heals, but the border, his freedom is close
A shot rings out he is hit, but he falls on the other side of the line that separates countries
The man has got his freedom, he has made the escape he had planned
He dies a free man.
