Breaking news,
I was watching the football game
On Monday night December 8, 1980
When the announcer said your name
John Lennon is dead since then the
Music has not been the same
You spread your message
Of love and peace
Memories of you
Will never cease
Almost thirty years later
Our hearts or still broken
Although your voice is stilled
Your words of love and
Peace are still spoken
Through your music
That lives on
I will never get use
To you being gone
