The exercise most commonly overlooked when wishing to burn copious amounts of fat is literally at our feet. You do not need a membership to a fancy gym, nor do you need rooms for rarely used exercise material. Fancy terminology is not needed for this king of exercises. Never will you be required to wear Lycra or attend a spinning class when looking for the most effective method to get you in shape.
Quite simply walking gives the most bang for your buck over every single exercise you could name. All that you need is a comfy pair of shoes and a burning desire to put in the time. Like any person wising to lose weight and shape up there are no fast fixes to curing your ails. Walking ticks all the boxes, if you are obese you can gently work your way to a healthy level of fitness. Indeed if you suffer from heart or blood pressure problems walking is one of the only exercises you can do without comprising your health. Gentle walks in the fresh air do wonders for our health and well being in general.
Fat burning is what the majority of people seek when taking up an exercise regime. To burn fat you must exercise for a minimum of twenty minutes at a moderate pace. Ease yourself into life change with walks of half an hour at a fair pace everyday. As your progress work up to well over an hour. You should after a few months be walking for a couple of hours at a time three times a week with shorter walks every over day. As your fitness progresses you will complete your routes faster and faster, thereby getting fitter as a result. You do not need to power walk or be out of breath when finishing, just tired from the effort. It is a misconception that you have to stomp your way to fitness and be almost superhuman. This kind of false information puts people off before they even start. The amount of fat you will burn when you reach hour plus walks will be all to evident after a few weeks. But as with anything your diet should match your effort. If both are in tandem then the kilos will fall away as you put one simple stride in front of the other.
The biggest advantage walking has over other exercises when wishing to burn fat is that is an exercise for all. Young and old, rich and poor can take this activity up for life. It can be incorporated into your family life like no other routine. Getting out whatever the season with your loved ones promotes life education and fitness to those you hold most dear. If any further proof where needed as the benefits of walking as successful exercise, look around and see how many elderly walkers there are. The answer is a lot and very few have double chins.
