Fear not my child
Life will treat you right
Don’t get upset
If things are not alright.
It is okay to stumble
There is no need to grumble
Everyone takes a tumble
Remain ever humble.
Wipe the tears from your face
An outline of a smile you trace
Face every problem with a cheerful face
Let not a frown your face grace
Remember the world may at times seem cruel
May be difficult to find friends loyal
Life may appear a difficult toil
But we cannot give up or recoil
Let not another spoil your day
It is up to you to find your way
Mum is there with you today
It won’t be forever that she will stay
Grow up my child and learn to smile
A happy face will go a long mile
You don’t live on an island you see
You need to cope with all you see
Be your friend or be your foe
You will decide which way to go
God made you special so special you’ll be
But learn to cope with misery.

"The Promise"
What words do I write
To tell the world

Without a pen in hand
I began to write

At least you are to me
You've turned our little home
Into a precious family
I know that there are
