If you live in the Hartford, CT area and are looking for some ways to make extra money then take some of these ideas into consideration.
1. Your own front yard - Have a yard sale! Go through all of your belongings and put all of your unwanted items aside in one area. Also, ask your friends and family members if they have any donations you can add to your yard sale. Once you have all of the items together then use tape or white sticker labels to price your items. Be sure to price everything reasonably. Also, post your yardsale on Craigslist and don't forget to put posters up in your neighborhood telling your neighbors when and where the sale will take place.
2. Hartford Flea Market - Located on Market St. The Hartford Flea Market is open on weekends from April to December from 9-5. Take your unwanted belongings and set up a booth to make some extra cash. Also, if you are good at making jewelry or craft items, then make up as much as you can in your spare time during the week and sell your handicrafts on the weekends.
3. Cash USA Pawn Shop - Two locations - 931 Broad St and also at 559 Albany Ave. If you need money in a hurry and don't have time to wait for the weekend to sell your goods at a yardsale or flea market, then consider taking your unwanted items of value to the pawn shop. Items such as televisions, dvd players, bicycles, lawn equipment, tools, and jewelry items will typically earn you some extra money at the pawn shops. You can either take your valuables there on loan, meaning that you will pay a higher amount than what you borrowed to pick your items up within a month or you can outright sell them. If you don't return to either renew your loan or pick your items up within a month, then the pawn shop will then own your items and put them up for sell.
4. Hartford Road Trading - 692 Hartford Rd. - If you have unwanted musical instruments, broken gold, platinum, silver, or unwanted jewelry items, collectible coins, tools, laptops, computer equipment, game systems, digital cameras, camcorders, comics, DVD players, audio equipment, or power equipment then take it by the Hartford Road Trading to sell your items or trade them for other items in the store inventory. Sometimes the store also offers cash or trade for other items, so be sure to call them at 860-647-9423 and inquire before you take large or heavy items.
5. Sell your items on eBay. All you need is a digital camera and Internet access. You can decide on how long you want your items to be listed and whether you would like them to be auctioned off to the highest bidder or sold for a set fee. You can also charge for shipping.
