Within our fashionable society today, teenagers particularly teenage girls often feel as if they need to keep up or fit in with the constantly changing fashion trends. Below are must have items that every teenager should invest in for their wardrobe this winter!

1. Boots

Boots are a winter must have since they compliment and improve every outfit. Avoid colored boots and stick with black boots as they normally go with every outfit. Great styles are thigh high black boots with sheer stockings and a cute, simple dress accompanied by a black or white military style jacket.

2. Berets

The must have french inspired winter accessory. Beret's come in various fabrics, patterns and colors, are often inexpensive and compliment any outfit. When wearing a colored or patterned beret, avoid going over the top with colors or patterns in your outfit keeping it simple. White fur beret's work well with simple black dresses and boots.

3. Coats

Invest in good coat; they will last you a few winters. Again, coats come in various fabrics, patterns and colors and add to any outfit. Faux fur coats are stunning but stick with the traditional colors black, white, gray as any other color looks tacky and fake.

4. Skinny jeans

One of the must have trends for winter 2010. They have been around for ages but they are still considered fashionable and complete an outfit. Since they are simple, choose a stand out top and add some jewelry to complete the outfit. Ankle boots, thigh high and knee high boots all go with skinny jeans. Avoid flip flops.

5. Bags

Never leave the house unarmed! Pastel colored bags are in the winter and try and opt for pastel pinks, greens, blues and purple. Black and white studded bags are in this winter, as well as clutches.

6. Strong shoulder jackets 

The 80's trend is back! Strong shoulder jackets look smart and fashionable and have been appearing all over the catwalks recently. Similar to a military jackets, they have in all types of colors and thicknesses.
