Poetry: The pain of letting you go

by Lawrence Sanchez

Created on: October 10, 2010

I watched her die in front of me

The pain of letting you go

This feeling of loss is cold you know

My heart fought with me each day

The tears would not go away

The suffering that you endured

I prayed for you to have no more

Your end came to you so bitter

Mother, God should have allowed you to die better

My heart still has a sore that I was not able to talk to you once more

I regret the things that I was unable to say

Now your dead and I still pay
