INTRODUCTION
A Dyad Experiment is an experiment where two people interact, one person will ask a series of questions and the other person will respond to the questions and by the end of the interaction, the person asking the questions will have a better understanding of the person giving the responses.
In this experiment my subject was a male college student and for identity purposes, we will call him Christopher X, there were five questions asked and they were “The Goals of Christopher” “The Importance of Goals” “Guidance through Religion” “Beginnings” and “Friends and Family”.
THE GOALS OF CHRISTOPHER
Goals are a huge thing for me. For me, my main goal is to be able to become a freelance graphic design artist “Working for myself, being able to do what I love and use the gifts that have been given to me and to be successful” (Christopher X). Another goal that is more current right now is that I want to be on my own as soon as I can without having to rely on my parents for different things like food or a place to stay, and being able to supply those things for myself.
THE IMPORTANCE OF GOALS
The most important thing when it comes to goals is reaching them and when it comes to these goals. “I make goals that are not too far out, but not too close either, in return it makes me push myself to grow and expand my horizons mentally, physically, and socially as well” (Christopher X). Along with my goals I like to have accountability to keep me on track and encourage me to keep striving forward to achieve the goal ahead. I have a few people in my life that are my "Accountability Partners" and they are also my best friends.
GUIDANCE THROUGH RELIGION
Religion in general keeps our minds open and gives us that extra push to keep on top of our goals. For example, being Christian not only do I have my church family who loves and encourages me to keep moving forward, but the one and only Jesus Christ who keeps me going as well “Giving me guidance where I need to be and encouraging me with his word (the Bible) or even laying something on my heart that I need to do to keep me striving toward my goals. Philippians 4:13 says "I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heaven wards in Christ Jesus" (Christopher X). This verse goes with what I mentioned earlier about the gifts I have been given with graphic design. God has put this fire in me to pursue it
