Emily ran to her room and slammed the door shut as hard as she could. She threw herself down onto her bed and sobbed loudly into her pillow. Her eldest sister, Mary was always so mean to her and yet it was always Emily who got into trouble.
It doesn't matter what it was, whether Mary was teasing her or breaking her toys, Emily would get into trouble. This time, Mary had gone too far. She had broken their mother's antique vase and Mary had blamed it onto Emily. Emily had been grounded for months and this time, she wanted to get Mary back.
As she lay there, sobbing, she thought of ways to get her revenge. When the thought came to her, Emily smiled spitefully. That night, when Mary was asleep, she had crept into her room and taken her diary. Emily knew Mary kept all her intimate thoughts in it. She spent half the night scanning the diary and sending the secret pages to all her sister's friends, especially the ones Mary talked badly of.
Once she was done, she quietly returned the diary to her room before she noticed it was missing. Emily smiled spitefully to herself.
