Oh is an easy one. There are about 5 names that come to mind when the words "Best Talk Show Host" are uttered. Among these five people, 4 of them have spent a deal of time in the business and one of them is just a baby in the talk show hosting job. My first pick has to be Jay Leno. How can you not love the guy with the weird hair and the large chin. He never ceases to amaze me when i watch his show with his quick jokes and his hilarious material. I have to say that he has some of the best writers and one of the best setups in all of the talk show world.

The next name that immediately comes to mind is Conan O'Brien. This guy is absolutely hilarious and is my favorite out of the four. His material is always fresh and he never uses the same jokes. He also has some great writers with segments such as "Celebrity Survey", "New U.S. Quarters" and of course "S.A.T analogies". His amazing guests, segments and musical guests always add to his comedy.
My third talk show host has to be Ellen DeGeneres. After her confession to being a lesbian in the late 90s, her career took a complete 180, from being successful to otherwise. But her new job as a host of her very own show "Ellen" has really skyrocketed. She also was the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo, the perfect person for the role because of her sharp and witty sense of humor. Her dancing is always appreciated among fans as well.
My fourth person is of course David Letterman. His show on CBS is by far one of the most recognized talk shows in the world, with new viewers joining him everyday. Perhaps its his famous "Top Ten..." list or the way that he interacts with his 'sidekick' Shaffer in every show. His voice always draws people in and the way that he uses it to communicate with his all-star guests.
And of course, who could forget Oprah? This 51-year old "goddess" of the talk show business generates about 300 million dollars in income each year. She is considered of the richest women in the world and, by the theme of her life, one of the nicest. Her donations to various charities around the world give her that title, also the gifts that she gives out every year to her audience members.
As you can see, a lot of people could have been on this list but only 5 stood out to me as being the best in the business. Who knows, maybe someone new will come along and steal the crown but for now, it looks like Oprah is the queen of talk shows, and will be for quite some time.
