Methods for increasing standardized SAT test scores

Do Practice Exams! Also, two things in particular that can increase your score if you put in the time is practicing vocabulary and the essay. There are 15 or so vocabulary questions that are free points if you know your vocab. I know this can be tedious but it's easy points, and if you know all the words, there will be more time for you to spend on the reading section. As for the essay, if you come up with set examples of either individuals or events that can be applied to many of the general SAT topics, it can really boost your score. The graders like to see concrete examples from literature, science, and history. (For example, Stephen Hawking can be used for a range of topics such as, overcoming adversity, finding a passion, not taking life for granted, scientific innovation, education, etc.)
