Product

This area of marketing is for those that are passionate about ideas and turning them into a product, designing products and getting the consumer interested in a company's product..  The product strategic plan involves creative concepts and understanding consumer behavior.  It answers the question of what a customer wants for the product or service.  If you are interested in psychology than this might also be an aspect of marketing that will fascinate you.

If you are analytic and enjoy numbers than this might be an area of marketing that you would enjoy.  Individuals who study price patterns and understand the correct price to bring a product to market will thrive in this type of opportunity.  Understanding market segments and variable pricing strategy all fall under the price component of marketing.

Place

This part of marketing is all about the convenience and availability of the product.  Who will carry the product, what lines are available and what strategic plan is in place to have the best product mix for the customer?  There are products being released everyday and find a place on the shelves at your local store and on websites and it all is part of a marketing career.
