God forgives no matter the sin

God forgives no matter the sin. This is a great statement for all believers. However, God also tells us to turn from sin. We cannot live our lives like we can just keep going back to God and ask him to forgive us for the same sin over and over again. John 5:14 tells us "Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more lest a worse thing come upon thee." We as Christians are to ask for forgiveness and to turn our lives over to him and his will. To be perfect as our Lord in heaven is perfect. Yes, God will forgive our sins and we should return his kindness with obedience to his laws.

To be God's child holds with it the responsibilities come with it. To go out and to spread the gospel. To love one another as he loves us. I for one choose not to be selfish and accept a gift without giving of myself in return. Our Lord deserves all of our praises because of the great sacrifice he made for us. I once read in a book that said our forgiveness came at a great price and our obedience should reflect the same amount of faithfulness to our Lord. Read his word, live his word and pray unceasingly. Pray for each other and love one another. God tells us that we are to forgive so we can be forgiven. Judge not lest we be judged. Simple concepts in our mind. Harder to live by without his guidance and the strength that he gives us through our faith and long suffering.

If we go through life thinking we can sin and keep going back and asking for forgiveness then we aren't trying to live our lives as God would have us. Sure we will still sin as Christians but the amount of sin in our lives will be considerably less. We are to turn our lives over to him and live a righteous life. No we are not perfect but we can try to be perfect in Gods eyes. To say I am a Christian and go back home from church only to continue sinning would make me a hypocrite. Thank God for forgiving my sins. The least I could do would be to sin no more. Did Jesus not tell Mary Magdelene your sins are forgiven you? Go and sin no more? We are to do the same because he has forgiven our sins.

My daily prayer is that my heavenly father would reveal the sin within me that I cannot see so that I may confess it and be rid of it. There is only one sin that God will not forgive, that sin is blaspheming of the Holy Spirit. In his word he tells us if we speak against the Son we may be forgiven, but if we blaspheme the Holy Spirit we are condemned to everlasting damnation. If I have spoken untruths in this paper Lord forgive me and may you show it to me through prayer and reading of your word.
