As I approached my car, I felt like I was carrying a fifty pound load on my shoulder. When I stopped at the traffic light at the corner, I could tell, the lady in the BMW next to me, knew what I had done. After I parked and got out, our neighbor's dog starts to bark at me. Why is it barking at me? It has never barked at me before. Can dogs sense these things? As I reached our door steps, I couldn't get myself together; can she smell it on me? What's happening to me now? I can't feel my legs. No, no, no, I can do this; all I have to do is, stay calm.
So I open the door and enter. She is in the bathroom. Thank God, At least I can avoid her for sometime. I tell her I'm in and she tells me to join her, but I decline telling her I have to update some work for my boss. She finishes washing up and comes out.Oh God, please don't let her come near me, she might smell it on me. So as soon as she got out, I run to her, gave her a kiss on the chick and quickly jumped under the showers. While I'm washing off my shame, she asks me if I drove passed the Wal-Mart downtown (Oh no, she knows! Why didn't I choose the Hotel near my office), then she adds, was it closed? I wanted to go get some drinks for dinner (Wow that was close).
I tell her not to bother, and that we can manage for tonight, and then she says OK.So, she goes downstairs to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Normally I go down to help her out and chat a little bit about our day but, this time I tell her there is a programme on that I don't want to miss. So, I'm in the living room watching TV, and she's in the kitchen with the door open. While I'm sitting there I can feel she is staring at me, so every now and then, I take a peek at her but she looks like she is concentrated on preparing dinner. Dinner gets ready, and she calls me to join her at the table (All I need to do, is stay calm and everything will be fine)
So we are at the dining table (we are sitting at both ends, opposite each other). She asks me, so how was work? It was alright, How was yours? She says fine, then she asks me, Today I called you at work, but your office said you left early (Oh no, she knows). While I'm eating, I can't look her in the eyes. Then she asks me, what's wrong? Why won't you look at me? Where were you? (No I can't take it anymore, I can't lie to her, she deserves to know I have to tell her).So I tell her "Honey, I have to tell you something”, Then she stands up (with tears in her eyes) and shouts” I have been sleeping with your brother, I'm very sorry!"
