Product reviews: K2 nemesis snowboard

If you are looking for an incredible all mountain board that will blow away the competition the K2 Nemesis might just be the board for you. While K2 is generally looked down upon by the more experienced riders who doubt that a board with such a low cost can perform as well as the almost twice as expensive boards, they are no doubt just as good. This gives you a chance to prove them wrong, and at a much lower cost.

The Nemesis is a mid-wide board, for those of us with a somewhat bigger foot. The nice thing about the Nemesis is that just because it's a wider board doesn't mean that it sacrices agility in the process. The wide board provides much more of a benefit than anything to those of us with larger than size 11 feet. This means that we can easily use the board, without toe drag, which has been the evil of the bigger footed since snowboarding first began. Without the fear of toe drag, riders can get deeper cuts, producing harder turns, and much better performance over other boards.

The Nemesis is an all mountain board with a lot of bite. The super huge length and width means a very aggressive free ride performance that is far better than the large majority of freeride boards on the market, without being a true freeride. The nose up abilities on this board are far superior than most boards, keeping you floating on top of the fresh powder, rather than purpoising in it. And with the ability to corner as impressively as a freeride, you really can't go wrong with this board.

The freestyle aspect of the board is good, but a little different. The board has better than expected flex and response in the park and on the pipe. The length of the board provides a much smoother ride than a smaller board, however it can be an issue where space is concerned and it generally is during freestyle. The board is a lot harder to whip around due to it's large size meaning that you either have to spin it faster, or find a way to over compensate for the lack of height you are going to get off of your jumps. While these can be overcome by the more experienced rider, a beginner is going to find it quite difficult to learn on this all mountain board, and generally that's who an all mountain board is geared towards.

Durability
You just can't break a K2 board. I have seen these things fly off of a board rack at close to a hundred miles per hour, bouncing off of the freeway as it flew down the road. When we went to go pick it up, all it had was some ugly scratches, and some very minor
