Winning the war against terrorism

THE FACTS - JUST THE FACTS

The facts seem to indicate that we have already lost this Iraqi Civil War (remember that we lost in Vietnam and Korea years before we actually admitted it). How many additional people suffered because we waited years to admit our mistake?

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF
When we withdrew from Vietnam and Korea we were told American freedom would eventually collapse. Despite the political rhetoric of power hungry politicians, that never materialized. In fact Vietnam today is one of the fastest growing free market economies in the world. Until we get to the end of the Iraqi Civil War (VIETNAM 2.0). It's much easier to just ignore the facts and keep searching for those WMD's in Iraq & changing the reason that the war was started after the fact. God requires that we admit our mistakes and confess them. Only then can we move forward to correct them and live a better way.

At this crossroads in front of us we can face the truth or keep the sheet pulled over our eyes and kid ourselves into thinking we are safe. Should we follow the principles of our constitution that have helped us survive for hundreds of years or continue to walk away from those ideas that keep us a free nation? Do we maintain freedom by replicating the brutality and immorality of our enemies? Once we do that we lose our moral high ground and vision for improving humanity. That's something worth thinking about!
