Being young is not a hindrance to success. In fact, youthful vigor, if channeled on the right direction, can lead to leaps and bounds in the field of entrepreneurship. There is no perfect time to enter the field of entrepreneurship than while you're young. The youth are more aggressive these days and they accept changes and innovation on a more productive manner.
They recognize opportunities which eventually turn into success. Thus, there are a lot of young and successful entrepreneurs out there who have faced the challenge and shake the foundations of entrepreneurship. Hence, the following are some of Americas best young entrepreneurs:
Mark Zuckerberg
With a net worth of $6.9 billion, Zukerberg is perhaps one of the fastest rising entrepreneurs in the world. Needless to say, it won't be a surprise to someday see his name among the top ten richest man in the world. Zuckerberg amassed his cast riches through the popular social networking site Facebook.
Together with some of his classmates at Harvard, Zuckerberg founded Facebook in 2004 and soon after the social networking site became an instant hit. In return, earning him and his colleagues millions eventually billions of dollars in a advertising revenue.
Catherine Cook
Cook at age 17, is managing her own website Myyearbook.com, a site quite similar to Facebook although doesn't directly compete with the said social networking site. My Year Book introduces cool features like blind dates, chatter and online quizzes which all work wonders in terms of generating audience.
To date, My Year Book has 5 million members and Cook is valued at $10 million. Reportedly, retireat21.com claims that upon speaking to Cook for quite some time you'll get the feeling that you won't need to remember her name as you'll be hearing it often for the coming years - a sign of greater things to come.
Ashley Qualls
Qualls is another young entrepreneur who turned her hobby into a successful and not to mention multi-million dollar business venture. In 2004, at the tender age of 14, Qualls started a website called whateverlife.com which she envisioned as a free one-stop shop for those who are looking for unique Myspace layouts.
Quall has been offered millions in exchange for her website but she turned down offers including a $1.5 million and any car of her choice. Currently, she still operates the website just in the basement of their family's house employing her mother and a few friends from school.
