While every season has it's color scheme, fall gives you the opportunity to bring the rich and regal colors of nature indoors. Choose from rich shades of red, orange and yellow to compliment the lush greens and browns. Bring baskets of pinecones, dried berries and flowers inside for a few easy fall arrangements. Potpourri, scented and un-scented can be used for both the fragrances and colors of fall in the comfort of your home.

Create a simple centerpiece for any table with a glass bowl, scented jar candle and natural materials such as pinecones and dried berries or potpourri. Set the candle in the center of the bowl and fill the empty space with your natural materials. Trade all of the spring and summer flowers for rich colored fall varieties such as mums, sunflowers and fall daisys. Using a small mirror as the base, arrange a grouping of candles in the middle. Arrange small artificial flowers or tiny pinecones around the base of the candles, light and watch the flickering lights reflect around the room.

Trade your light summery curtains for ones that are heavier and filled with the stunning colors of fall for a quick, instant change. Make arrangements of artificial and dried flowers in clear vases with colored stones. Sew new covers for throw pillows out of fall prints for your living room. Replace your old throw rugs for rugs filled with reds, yellows, oranges, greens and rust colors. Bring small scarecrows inside for a centerpiece complete with miniature pumpkins and Indian corn. Tie back curtains with iridescent ribbon or braided rope. Use the colors of fall to your advantage.

With the wide range of colors, it is easy to find one that fits into your decorating scheme without having to make major changes. It can be as simple as adding fall colored slipcovers to your furniture. Burlap can be used for placemats and table runners. Large clear glass vases can be filled with fruits and berries for a table setting. Nothing says fall quite like sunflowers, mums, pumpkins and Indian corn. Take your fall decorating inspiration from them. Collect colorful leaves, dry and frame them for a catchy wall grouping. Add cattails and dried flower heads to your flower arrangements. Trade pastel shaded accessories for lush, bold fall colors. Rotate fall pictures for the summery ones you currently have on display.

Using an old pan filled halfway with water and add the fragrances of fall for a simmer pot. Choose from fresh orange or apple slices, cranberries, cinnamon sticks or pumpkin pie spices. Do not let your pot simmer dry or you will go from fall to foul. Bringing fall into your home is one of the easiest things any decorator can do. This is the time of year when bold colors rule and the pastels are out. If subtle is more your style, go with the Earthy browns, rusts and greens. Just do not forget to start with a beautiful fall wreath to adorn your front and welcome fall into your home.
