Think Alsatian Manor and whispers of romance.  Hotel Du Parc partners beautifully appointed rooms in a private park setting with exceptional views of the mountain landscape.  Though guests feel they are in the countryside, the hotel is just around the corner from the pleasant riverside village of Thann.  The hotel’s common rooms mix Italian art with marble fireplaces, Wi-Fi access and elegant settees. 

After extensive damage from World War I, the manor was fully restored and converted to the Hotel du Parc, with a July opening in 1921. Through its history, a number of celebrities have sought a quiet retreat at the Hotel du Parc, from General DeGaulle and noted French film director Francois Truffaut to artist Jeanne Moreau and François Truffaut stayed at the hotel for several weeks in 1962 during the shooting of the film “Jules et Jim”.

The 21 Hotel du Parc accommodations run from a “Classic” room with shower  and bar fridge to a “Prestige” double room with private terrace and King size bed and a large family room for 4 overlooking the park.  Each room is spacious, comfortable and cheerful, with tasteful furnishings, bright windows and beautifully renovated bathrooms.  Rates run from 129 to 370 Euros.
