Poetry: Pressure

by Megan Mcdiarmid

Created on: October 01, 2010

THE FREAK.

Passerby's say "hello", I smile back.

Looking good, Looking great are the usual.

Don't mess up, Can't mess up.

Must not show tears, do NOT show anger.

Smile, stand up straight- Confidence.

I am crumbling to pieces every time a male looks at me, observes me.

I am perfection on the outside, I am ruined on the inside.

I am the envied one, I should be the pitied one- If they only knew.

I am organized, I am a mess.

I rule the school, stumbling my way through lack of confidence.

This is Me.

I envy You.
