It starts with
a cool wind
that rustles through
leaves of change,
sounding like
gentle ocean waves.
She tries to hold on,
but her sun gets farther,
the wind grows stronger,
and the rain beats down.
From her vibrant green
she has transformed to
oranges and yellows.
Weaker now,
she falls with grace:
allowing herself to be captured
by the wind as she performs
her final dance.

Poetry: Falling leaves
It's been a delirious spring,
And an arduous summer.
The leaves deserve to fall.
They tease the ground with,
A slow, wayward
I watch the falling leaves
Vivid yellows, oranges and reds
Dropping lazily
After a busy autumn season
Of changing colors
Tiny brown corpses
rattling at the door
covering the porch boards
three inches deep or more.
Little shriveled hands
clutching
by shakugan123
The wind whisper to the trees
Oh no it might be a kiss
For the trees giggle in delight
Shaking its branches in the moonlight
by Jules Wrenne
The distant hill blazes now
with vibrant flames that won't be damped
by dousing autumn rains
but surely
