I seal it up within
running from a painful past
happiness hides the shame
followed by anger and wicked blame
I seal it up within
the wrongs not worth saying
trying too hard not to care
this past my burden to bear
I seal it up within
wickedness tucked away tight
a new life before my eyes
one that hides all the lies

I struggle to cope and endure
Into exile I have been cast

The past, it is behind me,

My past was catching up and needed
