Darkness folds softly round
Light inside
Where bodies rise
And kneel
And move
Together
In a dance
Of worship.
Music rises
From heart
And lips
Reaching light above
And lighting darkness.
Families meet
Earthly family
And holy family
Sharing space.
Words weave
Stories long told
Of life
And struggle
And hope
And certainty.
And the people go
Comforted
From Midnight Mass.
