Poetry: Fair weather friends

Created on: October 01, 2010

Fair weather friends

Seem like pretend

In the end they want the joyride

Without the responsibility of pride

They cling to you

In the calm warmth of the bayou

And float away in the rough

When the going gets tough

They dodge responsibility

With such great agility

Forever in a kind of limbo

Will drop you for any bimbo

How annoying it is to pretend

That they ever where real friends

For in the end they were nothing but pretend

An ode to my dear fair weather friends
