One of the juiciest fruits that has a delightful taste is the Pineapple. It can be taken in slices and can be crushed to juice. Pineapple is bestowed with nutrients and complementing enzymes which can make your complexion glow. The nutrients are found in forms of minerals, vitamins and its fiber content delivers effective results in curing irregular bowel movement and constipation. Pineapple is free of fat and cholesterol. It removes intestinal worms and keeps your system flushing out all the toxins from the body. Manganese present in Pineapple promotes bone health and tissues.
If you do not like to consume pineapple as a fruit, you may consider combining it with other food ingredients to form delicious recipes. I feel Pineapple scones are more delicious and convenient to make.
Ingredients
Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup
Oats - 1 cup
Powdered brown sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Finely sliced Pineapple - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/4 cup
Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
Powdered Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
Baking Soda - 1/4 teaspoon
Directions
1) Mix wheat flour, oats, cinnamon powder, baking soda thoroughly in a bowl.
2) In an another bowl, mix butter, oil and sugar till the sugar gets totally absorbed and avoid formation of lumps.
3) With this add the flour mixture, pineapple slices and knead the whole mixture to a dough consistency.
4) Spray some flour on the oven tray. Cut the dough into thick triangles of about 1 inch height and lay them on the tray.
5) Preheat the oven to 190ºC and bake the scones for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Delicious Pineapple scones are ready for serving. You can serve this as an evening dish along with tea and the high content of vitamin C in Pineapple is good for your oral health as it prevents plaque formation.
