Well this is going to shock and mortify some of you and others may be currently on the phone to the psychiatrist as your reading this. Where my husband works somebody is leaving and he gave her a present and she gave him one back (she’s not normal, I’ve been and she’s like the cat woman from the Simpson’s). Anyway silly husband did a very stupid thing and he came in from his night shift and left it on the kitchen table, so as much as I tried to focus on the house work and doing various other pregnancy related task like writing a novel on the amount of toilet trips I make- the baby growing inside me told me it wanted the chocolate bars. No the baby informed me unless I devour the whole Toblerone it was going to attack my kidneys my spine and make me feel very sick.
As much as I tried to refrain from munching the whole lot one piece soon flowed into two then three then there was none left (needless to say I’ve hidden the wrapping and if anyone meets my husband there was no such thing as a Toblerone fruit and nut bar sitting on the dining room table!). What exactly is it
Well it’s a play on the normal toblerone bars with bits of fruit and nut in it, giving little tasty pockets of flavour. As with all Toblerone’s it’s in its normal funky pyramid shape wrapped in tin foil in a pyramid shaped box in the usual Toblerone colours of yellow but with a splash of blues and purples thrown in for good measure.
Put into Laymen’s terms, this is a bar of Toblerone with fruit and nut chucked throughout! How was it
Tasty very tasty! The normal Toblerone chocolate with its nougat pieces, but with fruit and nut mixed in as well. The thing I liked about it is that it’s not monster sized pieces like you can get with some of the bars witch quiet frankly hurt my teeth and my dad cant touch them because he might break his teeth on the monster bars but this one provided perfect mouth sized chunks.
It tasted very nice, and the little bits of fruit and nut which were thrown throughout the bar were nice little extras, and made a difference from the normal Toblerone bars which I find can be a little bit boring sometimes, and "too" chocolatey, if there is such a thing! Pricing
After a quick search online I found it at www.britishcornershop.co.uk I found it for sale at £2.19 for a 100g bar witch I think seems reasonable for premium chocolate bar. Yes it is more expensive than a normal bar of chocolate like Dairy Milk, but it is bigger than anormal bar, and makes a nice little extra with a birthday present!
Warnings
As you may have guessed it contains nuts- almonds according to the packet.
Also the bar has milk, egg and soya- so if you don’t eat these products, then this is not the chocolate bar for you. If you’re giving this to the young or some one with sensitive teeth don’t put it in the fridge and allow to warm a bit first, as the chocolate can be a little hard, so leave it at room temperature! My husband always puts chocolate in the fridge so when I come to get it, it’s rock hard and tooth shattering!
