Even if you have never been really into celebrating St. Valentine’s Day, you can get dispirited by all the festive preparations and love tokens that decorate each street, window shop and restaurant.
Being single on St. Valentine’s day can be difficult. Especially if you decide to get your spirits down and to start feeling sorry for yourself. Instead, remind yourself of the many advantages that being single brings and enjoy St. Valentine’s Day in your own way.
A single girl can have an exceptional February 14. All you need is a great idea and some friends to help you make it come true.
GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT
The classic party idea for a single lady is a girls’ night out. To accomplish the idea, you will need your best friends and a favorite venue.
Go clubbing. Or sip on cocktails while gossiping and talking about men, love, life, sex, makeup, work and your cute colleagues.
Allow yourself to go wild. Just for the fun of it, visit a strip club. You will be surprised at how many crazy things you have never done. Give your fantasies a try and rely on your favorite girlfriends to accomplish any crazy deed.
THROW A PARTY FOR YOUR SINGLE FRIENDS
Instead of feeling sorry for yourself on St. Valentine’s Day, enjoy your singleness. The best way to accomplish that is to throw a large party for all your single friends.
Nothing could be better than turning February 14 into your biggest triumph, the day that will be remembered for the party that you organized.
Have drinks, your favorite music, play karaoke or party games. You can even organize a theme party, making all your friends contribute to the idea. Dress up or start acting, do whatever makes all of you happy.
GO SHOPPING
Shopping is the best remedy for every heartache. Allow yourself to indulge in a day of breath-taking shopping.
Get those wonderful items you have long been dreaming about but never had the chance to get your hands on.
Dedicate the entire day to this activity. Be unreasonable in the amount of money that you spend. After all, you are doing something nice for yourself. You can afford such expenses once per year.
TRAVEL
If you want to have a special St. Valentine’s Day, you need to get out of town. Take a short vacation and explore a destination that you have always wanted to visit.
It can be a very modest, yet enjoyable trip. The important aspect is to change your traditional settings and to experience something new. Traveling will also let you meet people. Who knows what opportunities could stem from such encounters.
PAMPER YOURSELF
Ask your girlfriends for some help and dedicate Valentine’s Day to pampering yourself. Go to a spa or have a spa day at home.
Let yourself relax. Nothing could be better than your favorite beautifying procedures. Have a nice massage. Jump in the Jacuzzi afterwards.
You can always combine your spa treatment with a night out or a movie night in. Give yourself a day off and pamper your body. You will be surprised at the positive effects that will result from this entire day off.
