tonight, we better
be better
& bloody
marry ourselves
to the bartender maybeing
in the mirror making factory
s smooth lobby
& better now
than never we should
unlock ourselves
from clockstrapped still wrists
& kiss on the cheek
& kiss on the mouth
(regardless of Time)
there's a red
wine burn in
the look on yr face
when the ice storm starts
& i wanted to say
i've been write
ing in songsung auld lang sinewy
beats to god or some
of my otherwise less rhythmic otherwises
& in comes the disguised
answer in the middle of a cusping
night/day
if you don't have a
lover, yr gonna need a lover
or a weapon
in this life & what of it
in the year of our lord & what if i
said "let's"
fake speak french
with the Africans
play tiny violins in the red
wine ice box hotel
where this stopstart sense gets us
& we understand
you see, you and i
we're living histori
es
skin museums in open door pores
& responded calls
to the sirens easy traps
& now
here in the aftermath the mouth
s distance is less than
navigational but only
stretches the space
between thumb to elbow
& i can feel it yr smooth
gravity's inching in the what's left
of craving's past coming
in never moving fast cars
now summer, we'll re
count our teeth and teethe
on the privation
of fresh balance

LOVES EXQUISITE ACHE
Oh to feel loves exquisite ache
That desperate longing
That naked want
Feeling so alive in the torment
While
Drunken Stupor
I have intoxicated too many thoughts of you
My mind and body swings in a dizzy frenzy

A toxic kiss
True jaded bliss
Forsaken in,
His eyes.
Confined in bittersweet revenge, Misery veiled by tainted desire
