My heart skipped a beat
As I walked down that street
Passing by the city lights
Looking at all the delights
When I suddenly saw her
My world blurred
My heart skipped a beat
She was such a treat
Sitting in the coffee shop
I wanted to say hi and make her stop
To make her smile and take her out
But all I did was mentally shout
Although my heart had skipped a beat
I didn’t turn it into something great
Although I wish I did something major
She will always remain a total stranger
