Viva South-Africa! Earth-child, vibrant and colorful! There is so much to do and see in south- Africa. You will remember the people you meet in South-Africa, they are the jewels on the already amazing crown! South-Africa has nine provinces, millions of opportunities, 11 languages, coastal, bush and desert regions, pulsing cities and lazy towns. Here are some highlights on what you can see in South-Africa.
A misconception is that animals walk the streets of South-Africa. We do have national parks, but no animals on the streets. There is the Kruger National Park in the Northen part of South Africa, the Pilaanberg game reserve in the west and the Addo elephant park in the south. The Kruger National park and Pilaansberg both host the big five and have accommodation ranging from tents to five star Lodges. The Pilaansberg reserve is much smaller than Kruger, but the same quality and animal variety is present. Both are accessible by road and air, each having airport in close proximity. The Addo Elephant park is situated near Port Elizabeth, and is home to more than 450 elephants, black rhino, lion, buffalo and a range of other species.
S.A has a huge range of natural wonders to boast about. These include the Cango caves, Table mountain, The Karoo and The Knysna rain forest, to name but a few. The Cango caves are situated parallel to the Swartberg mountain on the well known limestone ridge in Oudshoorn. Tours can be taken through the caves, and visitors can choose between the standard tour and the adventure tour. In the standard tour visitors can see the drip stone formations, but with the adventure tour visitors crawl into the heart of the caves. Table mountain, situated in Cape Town is a must see! Visitors can take a cable cart to the summit of the mountain and enjoy a refreshment at the restaurant. Adventurous people can climb to the top, if you like that sort of thing! The Knysna Forest, situated in knysna is truly a place to relax and get back in contact with nature. Pathways through the forest makes it easy to navigate and people of all shapes, sizes and ages can enjoy this experience!
If you are looking for some urban fun, there is definitely a place for you! Cape town, Pretoria and Johannesburg are some of the hot spots to be. In Pretoria, Hatfield is the local gathering spot for students/young adults. Festivals are in abundance throughout the year. Aardklop and Innibos are two music festivals in September. In Cape-Town on new years day, the "Kaapse klopse" can be found. Brightly dressed locals take to the streets and entertain visitors from dawn to midnight!
Cam and experience the vibes and pulse of South-Africa, it’s going to blow you away!
