Biometric solutions to identity theft crimes

The latest developments in applied digital technology are bringing the sci-fi gadgetry of yesterday into today’s reality. An interesting newcomer to the home security products marketplace is the biometric gun safe. If you own a small arm, you want to keep it securely locked away so that children and strangers cannot gain access to it.  Nevertheless, getting your hands on that gun quickly could be imperative if ever a home intruder should come calling.

A biometric gun safe is certainly adequate for the task of locking up important papers and other valuables, but it is especially well-designed for handgun security. I hope you’ll never absolutely need to get your gun, but if you do, you’ll want to do it quickly. Any delay due to spinning a dial or trying to remember a combination might lose you time you don’t have. With an ordinary safe, you would need to turn on a light to see the dial. A fingerprint safe obviates that need. Simply pressing the activator button lights up a biometric sensor, allowing easy access to your handgun. You simply press your thumb to the sensor for one second and the door pops open.

These safes are quite easy to wall-mount. A biometric safe mounts between any two studs, 16” on-center. Since there are no exposed screw holes, would-be thieves cannot easily drill the safe. These safes can be concealed behind a picture frame for added security.

Intelligent programming options allow you to create several user authorization profiles and activate recognition of more than one thumb or finger of your own.  In a pressure situation when you need to access your gun quickly, you might not have the presence of mind to recall whether you programmed recognition for your right or left hand, so why not set up the safe to recognize both thumbs?

Conventional safes require the user to memorize and recall the combination code. Moreover, losing or forgetting your combination means a call to the local locksmith. A biometric gun safe makes memorization a thing of the past. If you're wondering about how it's powered, a long lasting replaceable battery takes care of that. Optionally, the safe can be connected to an external DC power supply.

I sincerely hope you’ll never need to get your pistol quickly. That eventuality would surely be an unpleasant and stressful one. However, if you ever do, locking it in a biometric gun safe is a much better plan than storing it in a conventional safe, or even worse, not locking it up at all.
