With the proliferation of so many impressive Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S and the Motorola Droid smartphones, an ever-increasing amount of applications are being developed for the Android OS.

Reading eBooks on-the-go is one function which the users of such devices are particularly fond of. Thus, several eBook reader apps for Android have been developed all of which offer special features and support a wide range of eBook formats. They include:

Nook for Android

Barnes and Noble’s Nook for Android gives you access to more than 1 million eBook titles from any Android device. It has so many features which include a cool one that allows you turn pages with the swipe or a flick of a finger. Nook even allows you share eBooks with your friends using its proprietary LendMe technology.

eReader for Android

iReader is a free offline eBook reader app for the Android. It supports TXT, CHM, HTML and non-DRM PDB format files. It offers PDB-format support for EReader and Mobipocket books in its full version.
