Poetry: Harsh

by Katrina Mclaughlin

Created on: September 25, 2010

Words.

They flutter through my head

And once they're sound asleep

They leave frustration in their stead

Words.

Hard to come by when meant

While such cheap talk

Is easily spent

Words.

Cold they can sometimes be

Followed by sharp silence

That often pains me

Words.

They hang my heart like a noose

Because your words are harsh

While mine are of no use
