As if us women did not have enough to go through along comes the dreaded 'M' word, menopause. It starts slowly sneaking up on you when your not expecting it.It starts of with feelings of highs and lows to the point where you do not know what your waking day is going to be like.'Thats the hormones doing a dance around your body'my mother of great wisdom informed me.Next came the dreaded 'hot flushes',that take over your body and does not care weather you are in a supermarket or the hairdressers. It leaves you with a lovely shade of red a bit like scarlet fever and of course the funny looks you get of people when you are trying to fan yourself to cool down even though its -10 outside.
These then are followed by 'the night-sweats',another abbreviation for 'hot flushes'. These continue into the night leaving you exhausted in the morning from constantly kicking the blankets of/changing your nightwear during the night. So now you have to contend with insomnia as well as all the other symptoms.
I did discover that to much caffeine and over indulgence of alcohol can make these symptoms more aggressive so i have now learned to control them.
I hope that this advice will help you in your hour of need,as i found with all aliments the best cure is natural.
