Barnsley Gardens is a vacation resort in Adairsville, Georgia that offers a range of activities to guests and day visitors. Adairsville is a small city in Bartow County and Barnsley Gardens is one of its most famous attractions. The accommodation offered at the resort ranges from guest cottages to suites and guest rooms.

* Golf at Barnsley Gardens

Barnsley Gardens is a prime golfing resort and was featured as a Premier Resort by the US Golf Magazine for 2010. The golf course was designed by Jim Fazio and covers over 300 acres overlooking lush country and mountain ranges. PGA golf professionals are available for on site tuition if required and there is a golf shop for purchasing any equipment or essentials. Barnsley Gardens can offer customized tournaments for groups or organizations, if required, complete with presentations and awards.  

* On site activities

Some of the on site activities at Barnsley Gardens include: a museum; clay tennis courts; 12 miles of hiking and walking trails; horseback riding; viewing the exquisitely restored 160 year old gardens of the estate. Garden tours are available for guests to view the antique and heirloom gardens, day visitors pay a nominal charge for tours of the gardens. There are a number of lawn games available such as croquet, horseshoes volleyball, badminton and bocce. There is also a fitness center on site with a range of exercise and cardio equipment. Frisbee golf is another activity that is available on site.

* Pool

The resort has a large outdoor pool which is a great place for relaxing on sunny days. The bar in the pool house has long, cool, refreshing drinks on sale and towels are provided. The pool is open from 6am to 10pm daily.

* Spa

The Barnsley Gardens spa offers a range of treatments and therapies. Resort overnight guests can use the facilities of the spa for free, for example whirlpools, sauna and steam room but day guests are limited to use for one hour only either before or after their therapy treatments.

* Canoe or Kayak on the lake

Guests at the resort are at liberty to take the kayaks or canoes out for paddling on the Barnsley Gardens lake. Day visitors can rent out boats for a nominal charge.

* Bicycle Rentals

It's possible to hire bicycles at the resort and take energetic or leisurely rides along the miles of cycle trails in the area.

* Paintball

A half day paintball session is available at Wolf Cave Mountain Field for a nominal charge for guests or day visitors alike.
