What is Love?
When love goes wrong, was it love?
Was it sent as a gift from God above?
Maybe it was just hope that love was real.
Maybe it was your heart just trying to deal.
Life is hard and no one really wants to be alone.
So we grab hold to the nearest heart hoping it's the one.
When the heart hurts and love disappears,
we move on only now we carry fear.
When love dies again we are not sure what to do.
So we carry the hurt and the fear and grab another fool.
People need love it's an emotion we all seek out.
We keep searching our hearts and souls full of doubt.
Finally we think we found that one true love.
In the beginning it's blissful and fits like a glove.
Months sometimes years pass then again hurt steps up.
Love is nothing more than broken hearts stuck in a rut.
