God created Darwin.  Then all hell broke loose.  Charles Darwin was a man of God.  He was more devout than most average Christians today.  He became a scientist and a Naturalist, only much later, out of natural curiosity about the wonders of Creation.

Science is a process and faith is a set of beliefs.  Washing your clothes is a process, and knowing you will eat today is a belief that reflects you have faith.  How on earth are these opposites?  Why do we fight over whether a process, and a set of beliefs can both be?

There is no reason why Evolution and Creation should not co-exist.  They DO co-exist, after all, on this planet earth.  Who are we to suppose that if God is God, that the Almighty is incapable of spending billions of years, in just one afternoon?

If someone out there truly can fathom the infinite, and the forever, you already know that there is plenty of time for infinite worlds, and infinite space and time.

There are many clues within the creation that God is love and God loves all of creation.  Every atomic particle has an affinity, an attraction for other particles. When particles repel one another, (just as when theories repel one another,) one may say they exhibit an attraction away, and toward something else.

All flowers love rain.  All birds love sky.  All meadows love butterflies.  All of life is interconnected, dependent, attracted, if you will, to all other life.  God and Darwin saw this harmony, this over all balance.  We hear the phrase survival of the fittest and think of competition.

In fact, the phrase “survival of the fittest” has been dismissed by biologists.  It does not convey the truth of how billions of life forms have been sculpted daily into absolute astonishing bio-diversity, by ever changing environment.

Most of mundane daily life is not competition, but cooperation.

You are more likely to smile at your neighbor at the grocery store than slug her.

Even predators don’t eat all prey, but they do depend upon them for survival because of maintaining balance, having nutrients, and self regulating systems have been operating for billions of years before humankind showed up.   Living beings need a perfect balance of water, minerals, sunlight, moon tides, and so on all the way up to the Cosmos.

The word Cosmos means, in fact, harmony.  Our solar system, from your DNA shared with trees, bees, and seas, to our galaxy of atoms from which we came, displays constant efficiency. There is no waste that is not nutrient, there is no toxins, poisons, or wars except  that which is created by free will of those who see conflict and hate, where they are blind to harmony and love.

Nature, the Creation, which we are part of, deserves much greater respect.  We are charged by common sense, as well as by scripture, to learn from it, protect it, cherish it, appreciate it, and protect it.  We are never told we are above the creation, but that like the birds, or the lilies of the field we are as cherished as it is.

So we are connected, and completely loved into being, one might say.  If one believes that God loves God’s creations, Darwin is in good company.

Science is the forward thinking operant of truth, and surely the truth is a beautiful thing to behold.

Newton, another genius creation, saw God in every particle, in every pull of gravity, and in the magic of math and calculus that has given us the power to look ever more deeply into just how big God really is.  Gravity, like Evolution, is part of Natural law that again shows us constant attraction, affinity, belonging and love.
