Breaking down the ties that bind me

Feeling a sense of hope that blinds me

I jumped over the hurdles

Now I am ready to be free

This once sickness has turned into laughter

Collapsing under the weight of eternity

I have found my happily ever after

Alone in the darkness of solitude

I can only break free with nothing weighing me down

I never meant to be crude

But I also never meant for my feet to hit the ground

I am her, the one you gave your life for

I am just as broken as I was before

Why would you save such a damaged girl?

Why would you choose me over the world?

I feel the bones of your withered corpse

Prodding me like its death becoming

I touch your fragile hand

It turns to dust, it is you succumbing

To my touch …
