Poetry: Wisdom

Created on: September 22, 2010

Eternal Light

Little one
Can you hear me
Your time has come

Swaddled in the cocoon of religion
You have carried your light faithfully
Doing your part in love
To illumine a dark world

You feel outnumbered
You are not
The starry universe is your family
And I am its Mother

Precious one
Can you see me now
My name is Sophia

The light that you cling to
Is bright and good
But it is only a part
Of the whole

You have been blind
To the light of the distant stars
And I come to you now
To guide you into all truth

My child
I know you will forgive me
But I must burst your bubble

To open your eyes

And welcome you home.

Author's note:

Sophia is the feminine personification of wisdom; some say "the bride of God" also known as the Holy Spirit.  Intelligence and Wisdom are a marriage made in heaven, and the offspring is Love.  In that marriage, which do you think is the "better half"?
