Tips for succeeding in article marketing

If you want to know one of the best ways to succeed online you cannot go wrong with article marketing.  Article marketing is the practice of writing numerous articles for many separate sites.  Most of these article sites allow you to put at least two links in the resource box.  These are your ticket to money and your ticket to succeeding in article marketing.

♦  Resource Box Links  ♦

There are two important things that the resource box links will give you.  The first is a back-link for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) purposes.  The second is a direct follow of people wanting more information.  There are a few important things you should do about these links.  The first is to not use a phrase like “Click Here” for anchor text.  This phrase does you no good at all.  Make sure the anchor text contains helpful keywords

♦  Brevity is the Soul of Wit  ♦

For succeeding in article marketing you want to get to the point.  You want to give quality content to your reader and get out.  Most of the article marketing sites have a 300-400 word “minimum”.  You do not need to come right in at the minimum words, but if a site has a 300 work minimum there is no reason to write1000 words.  In the time you spend writing the extra 700 words you could have done two more articles.

♦  Leave them Wanting More  ♦

You do not want to tell everything in article marketing.  The whole point is to get the reader to click the link at the bottom.  If you give away everything there is no reason for them to go to the site you want for further information.  The best way to do it is as follows:

1)  Get their interest.  This is usually done with a interesting title.  With this you get them reading.

2)  State the issue.  You should continue to be intriguing in the opening paragraph.  You also want to state the issue of the case and try to use your keywords for SEO purposes.

3)  The next two paragraphs should provide nothing but solid information for your reader.  This is where you need to deliver the information that they are looking for.

4)  Your fourth paragraph is the bridge.  You set the reader up for your resource box.  You guide them toward wanting to go to your link.  Hopefully the site you are linking to will have what they want to really fix whatever problem they have, but regardless this paragraph is for convincing them that it does.

♦  Promotion  ♦

That is it for writing articles in article marketing.  The idea is to be relatively simple so you can do a lot.  But completing the article and posting it is not the end of your work.  Not by a long shot.  You still need to get out there and promote the article.  Use Digg, Stumble Upon, Delicious and whatever other social bookmarking sites you can.  You can have article linking to your articles for back-link purposes.  You can link your articles to forums and blogs.  Facebook and Twitter them for more traffic.  Do whatever you can to get your articles noticed.

♦  Final Tips on Succeeding in Article Marketing  ♦

When an article ranks well in Google it can drive sometimes as much as hundreds of visitors a day.  It is not instant and it is not guaranteed.  It takes work, time and effort, but if you put these things into it you will do well in article marketing.
