The first word that came to mind when seeing this topic, was the word "greed." America had the chance five years ago to own homes, cars and other things that they could not afford. In saying this statement; what we did not know is the scam of the century was about to unfold before our eyes. The snake oil persons were lining up at our doors and calling day and night stating; "how easy it was to get loans and credit."
Little did any common person know that they were about to lose everything they had worked for all their lives. Our own President got on national television and stated; " that if we did not give the banks a seven hundred million dollar bail out, we the American people would fall." It was a miracle that happened and the banks were saved while the common person in America has fallen fast. No one cared about the Jone's losing their home, or the Smith's who lost their job because the corporations moved them overseas for cheap labor.
The economy was taken hostage by Wall Street, lenders and the banks. The American people were lined up against the corporate walls to be stripped of everything they had if the people did not do what they said. If they could of found a way to shoot the people they would have. Wall Street called this scam; "too complex to understand." The media fed the American people B.S. day after day stating that the Jone's got a mortgage they could not afford. This in itself was a lie. The stories that are still going on five years later have not changed. The lenders are now out of business, the servers don't know who owns the note, while our government gives them money to modify the loans they cannot prove they own. So what is really going on in America? Banks are hording money and still foreclosing homes because they stand to make more money instead of helping the homeowner. Millions are forced into bankruptcy to bring the people who claim to own their homes to court. And we wonder why the economy has fallen?
Unemployment is sky high, with no end in sight. Our President says there has been millions of jobs created but they must be on other planet because unemployment has not changed. Out of all the "white collar crimes" that has happened in the last five years, only one old guy has gone to jail? Makes you wonder who is making deals with the devil lately?
The economy will keep falling unless America stands up and says; "enough is enough." How much more do we need to see in front of us before we as Americans lose everything we have worked for in this country go to someone else overseas? We are three fourths there now.
