Taj Mahal:

This marble masterpiece is dedicated to the Mughal Emperor ShahJahan who created this mausoleum in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj blushes in the rosy radiance at dawn and golden sunset and appears like a pearl in moonlight also reflected from its pools in the garden. You get the most stirring sight of Taj from an octagonal watch tower in the Agra Fort while you travel to Agra.
The Taj stands raised on an octagonal platform. It has a central dome, lined by four secondary domed chambers and four elegant slim minarets. The whole mausoleum is adorned with mosaic design of flowers and inscription using precious gems like jasper and agate. The main archways with chiseled verses of Holy Qur'an and flowers impart it a captivating charm to its beauty.
While exploring the Taj Mahal, don't miss the Taj Mahal complex that comprises a main gateway, an elaborate garden, a mosque, a guest house, numerous other impressive buildings and the River Yamuna behind it. The huge garden covers four reflecting pools which divide it at the center.
Agra Fort:
If you want to take genuine pictures of the Mughal customs, culture and life style of the people between 15th and 17th centuries, you can gather a lot of information when you visit Agra Fort. This is another tempting attraction to in see in Agra city on Taj Mahal tours. The fort is a master piece of design and architecture during medieval India. The Great Emperor Akbar built it in 1565 A.D. There are a number of attractive buildings: Diwane-I-Aam, Diwane-I-Khas, Moti Masjid Jahangirs place, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal in this fort.
