The finishing touch to any Christmas gift is in the presentation. Half of the fun of both giving and receiving a gift is the final wrapped product. A nicely wrapped Christmas gift shows that the giver cares enough to go the extra mile to make your gift even more special. On the receiving end, it is so much fun to discover what is inside a beautifully wrapped Christmas present!

Some people truly enjoy wrapping gifts at Christmas. Others view gift wrapping as a dreaded chore. Follow these Christmas gift wrapping tips and you will save time and frustration. Plus, your wrapped Christmas gifts will look like secret treasures waiting to be exposed. Or at the very least, your presents won't look like bags of unknown lumps secured with an entire roll of tape.

The most important thing to remember about wrapping Christmas gifts is organization. If you follow none of the other Christmas gift wrapping tips that follow, heed this one. It will save you lots of aggravation. It may even turn an unpleasant Christmas responsibility into a fun experience.

First, decide exactly where you will wrap Christmas gifts. Choose a spot that is flat and big enough to hold even large gifts. The kitchen table is usually the best location for gift wrapping. If you have family members that will try to peek, choose a time to wrap presents when you know they will be gone. Or wait to wrap Christmas gifts after they have gone to sleep.

Before wrapping even a single present, gather up everything you will need. This includes wrapping paper, tape, scissors, name tags, a pen, and optional bows and ribbons. Although optional, bows and ribbon are highly recommended. Find a place to keep all of these items handy in one spot so that you can sneak in mini gift-wrapping sessions during small chunks of time.

Try to get an assortment of different types of Christmas wrapping paper to suit many ages and personalities. Or you can choose a Christmas theme by color or subject. For example, buy nothing but red and gold paper, or choose wrapping paper with all different snowmen patterns.

Try to pick a time when you can wrap a few presents completely uninterrupted. The process goes much more smoothly and will be less frustrating. Don't wrap too many gifts at once, though, unless it's necessary. Believe me, your back and hands will get sore if you attempt a gift wrapping marathon.
