There is really no specific website from which to learn SEO, as the rise in practice in terms of information has grown so immense, the new user nowadays would not know where to start. However, the journey isn't all at a loss. With a little time, the basic foundations of doing research online will educate one about the technicalities of search engine optimization in plain joe talk. Moreover, the research will come from websites like personal blogs, forums and social groups.
Personal Blogs
Just type in 'SEO blog' inside Google or your favorite search engine and from there explore what regular users like yourself are learning about the practice. Take note on what it is they're documenting in terms of problems, successes and even trends. From here, if they have any resource pages, you can narrow down further how they got their education.
Personal blogs are first for learning SEO because they come from real experiences of the user online. Nowhere else are you going to find case studies more human than from them. While there will be blogs who will market themselves as being more knowledgeable than they are, there are plenty of others who will be known to say it as it is. This may be a bit of a dig but nonetheless, you'll find voices to guide you towards SEO success.
Specialized Forums
The next type of websites which will teach a user more are SEO forums. Again, just input 'SEO forum' into the search engines and dig your way through. Now these websites can be private or public. The private ones may come with a price as they may require you to subscribe to a type of membership in order to access the VIP area. However, don't worry, the general membership will do well for the beginner who is just starting out.
Inside forums, SEO tips, tricks and products that will be out on the market will be shared and disclosed first before they hit the blogs who normally reviews them. Debates, conversations and even free tutorials will also be available. Thus, users can get the first scoop before it becomes public. Most business ventures are normally found this way so you can experience product development online through these websites as well. Again, you just need to take a little time to find out how.
Social Groups
Websites where information is shared freely namely in links, pages and more also have specific groups that will discuss certain issues or topics. Using the search function within these networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. one can find the latest trends on the topic they're looking for. This will be very helpful to explore the subject matter in depth especially while it's currently popular.
So you see, while SEO is something of a new language for most starting out, applying the basic websites to do research through blogs, forums and social groups will allow one to learn faster. Not only that, apply the information right away.
